Whether you admit it or not your excuses and choices have shaped who you have become. A great philosopher once said “Your life is a result of the excuses you have chosen to accept.”
Your excuses are kind of like cement, at first you can mold and shape them how you want, but over time they solidify and your life is shaped by them. It’s a lot harder to change after it has hardened. A lot of people live their lives and make excuse after excuse for not going after their dream or passion. Towards the end some realize that they never lived. They get stuck and feel they can’t change.
The pain of discipline is far less than the pain of regret.
Stop making excuses for not going after your dream or passion and act. It doesn’t matter how hard the cemet has become. Find your jackhammer and plow through your excuses. Don’t live a life thats made for you, live one that you create.
Are you going to let your excuses shape your life?
This guy pretty much nails it:

I love history and learning about our great leaders, innovators and producers of the past. Here’s a few from this month:
A train is strong on a railroad but If you took it off it’s tracks it would be weak and not get very far. Entrepreneurs are often like trains. You may be strong in one area, like the train when its on the tracks, but not in others. Perhaps you are creative in business ideas but terrible at organization. It’s okay. There is nothing wrong with it. No one is incredible at everything. Entrepreneurs often make the mistake of trying to do and be good at everything themselves. Often it ends up creating a situation where you can’t accomplish your goals. Learn to surround yourself with a great team that can handle the stuff you aren’t as good at. You can build up faster by focusing your talents on where they excel, rather than where there are weak.
Lincoln once made a powerful commitment to himself. He wrote in his diary:
Jim Canale posted this one facebook today. Thought it was interesting. These red dots make up locations of McDonalds. He asked an interesting question: What is their real business? They aren’t in the fast food business. They are in the real estate business. What business are you really in?
Recently, I had a conversation with someone where when asked how they were doing, they responded with: “Just trying to get by.” I asked them what they meant by that and was told that they were just trying to pay the bills and survive. This person had once been full of life and ambition and now seemed entirely depressed about life.
One of my biggest inspirations is a man named Jim Rohn. His philosophies about business and life have had a profound impact on me. It is almost physically impossible for Jim to open his mouth without having pure gold come out. Anyway today is his 79th birthday. Jim, Happy Birthday. In honor of his birthday, here are a few awesome quotes by him:
